Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React and JavaScript.
- Develop Back End services and APIs using Node.js.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable Front End components.
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and Back End services.
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with UX and Product teams to deliver accessible, user-centred services.
- Ensure applications meet GDS and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support releases.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with React.
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience developing Back End services using Node.js.
- Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
- Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of responsive and cross-browser development.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
