Job description
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will proactively own and support the core IT infrastructure, ensuring the high availability of business-critical operations. You will work across the full support spectrum, from resolving first- and second-line helpdesk tickets to troubleshooting complex network and server issues. Additionally, you will lead small-to-medium infrastructure projects to help keep the digital ecosystem secure and resilient., * Operational Support: Resolve a wide range of IT tickets, from hardware/software troubleshooting to complex network and server issues.
- End-User Care: Manage, secure, and maintain employee hardware (laptops, desktops, and mobile devices) and provide clear 1-to-1 training when needed.
- Incident Management: Take ownership of systems issues immediately to minimize downtime, participating in an on-call rota for critical out-of-hours support.
- Data & Backups: Support data management tasks, monitor system data hygiene, and audit company backups.
- Project Delivery: Plan and lead small-to-medium infrastructure projects from concept to final delivery.
- Team Contribution: Maintain asset tracking, write and peer-review technical documentation, and collaborate closely with other business departments.
Requirements
- Technical Versatility: Strong full-stack troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Customer Focus: A friendly, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting internal staff and colleagues.
- Ownership Mentality: Someone who takes pride in finishing tasks with high accuracy, works well under pressure, and can manage their own workload.
- Qualifications: You should ideally be actively working toward or holding a relevant IT Qualification at Level 2 or above. Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
