Job description
- Assist with scoping, designing, and building secure Azure cloud services to support the modernisation programme and deliver a scalable and flexible cloud security capability.
- Work with the Design and Delivery Lead to define and deliver high-level and low-level security objectives and designs aligned to business and functional requirements.
- Work with teams to implement secure systems and solutions through the application of regulations, policies, standards, and procedures to meet user needs while managing business and security risks.
- Develop, test, and deliver security policy as code for public cloud compute services and container platforms using native services.
- Understand and apply industry standard controls such as CIS, NIST, GDPR, ISO, CSA CCM, and MCSB to deliver compliant solutions.
- Deliver security workstream activities and tasks against the migration strategy and integration points for central security services to manage and monitor cloud infrastructure.
- Drive discussions and design decisions to deliver scalable and manageable cloud solutions aligned to security, performance, operational, and cost constraints.

- Terraform, We are a highly reputable, market-leading financial corporation hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to play a crucial role in the design and implementation of our new technology estate. The role is based in Chatham or Wolverhampton with hybrid working, requiring three days per week in the office. We offer a salary of £90,000 to £100,000 plus a 25% bonus, along with visa sponsorship considered on an individual basis, work-from-home options, flexible working, 30 days holiday, medical cover, life cover, and a pension with up to 8% employer contribution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or security engineering, with cloud foundation services migration and integration, preferably on Microsoft Azure public cloud.
- Proven experience implementing secure core foundational services in cloud infrastructure for Active Directory, SecDevOps, and networking services at an enterprise level.
- Proven experience in SIEM and SOAR; experience with Rapid7 SIEM tooling is desirable.
- Proven experience with core foundational security services from cloud providers, preferably Azure or AWS equivalents, including Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, AppGateway, APIM, Azure Identity Protection, and PIM.
- Proven experience provisioning security policy as code and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, with secure code practices and guidelines.
- Advanced understanding and use of scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, or Go.
- Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate certification or AWS equivalent.
