Job description

  • Manage and maintain Azure, Azure AD, Intune and Windows Server environments.
  • Support and administer our network infrastructure, including switching.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, deployments and technical improvement projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to the onsite IT Technician.
  • Maintain high levels of system availability, security and performance.
  • Support education-specific platforms including Salamander and Papercut.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable IT services across the school.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on infrastructure experience with Azure, Azure AD, Intune and Windows Server.
  • Solid networking knowledge, including switching.
  • Previous experience within the education sector, such as schools, colleges or universities.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of technical environments and supporting junior colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

About the company

We are a leading education organisation recruiting for a Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer to join one of our schools in Salisbury. This is a hands-on technical role with some leadership responsibilities, supporting the technology behind a newly merged all-through school. You will join a large, well-established education trust at a time of significant transformation and play a key part in taking ownership of the schools infrastructure. The role is based onsite five days a week and offers a salary of up to £44,000, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a forward-thinking education environment investing in technology and digital transformation.
