Job description
- Work on bespoke systems for a range of clients
- Support existing systems and develop new variations for incoming clients
- Work across the full development lifecycle
- Develop and adapt custom-built software solutions
- Contribute to both frontend and backend development
- Understand and implement client-specific requirements
- Support testing and deployment activities
- Contribute to ongoing system improvements
- Work on existing customer codebases
- Take ownership of your work and deliver real-world systems used by clients daily

Requirements
- Commercial experience working with .NET and C#
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Experience with or willingness to work with .NET Framework and legacy systems
- Ability to pick up existing code quickly and work across multiple systems and codebases
- Comfortable working independently and approaching technical problems practically
- Interest in being involved across the full development lifecycle
- Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, or Azure would be beneficial but is not essential
- A driving licence is recommended due to limited public transport access
About the company
We are a well-established software and IT services company based near Sheffield, offering hybrid working and a stable environment with low staff turnover. We provide a package of £40,000 to £50,000 plus two performance-related bonuses per year, private medical insurance, a 35-hour working week, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, and Christmas to New Year off in addition to annual leave. The role initially requires three days per week in our office, reducing to two days after around three to six months.
