Job description

We are seeking a commercial, highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to lead our data analytics function and transform raw data into clear, strategic business insights. In this role, you will own the design and development of our business intelligence framework, turning complex datasets from various departments into clean, interactive dashboards and predictive metrics that drive high-level decision-making.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, a sharp commercial mindset, and the communication skills to explain technical trends to non-technical business leaders. You will act as the data partner for senior leadership, identifying revenue opportunities, optimizing operational workflows, and helping us embed a truly data-driven culture across the group.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Own, design, and maintain business-critical dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau to provide real-time visibility into company performance.
  • Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden trends, identify operational inefficiencies, and recommend growth strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, design scalable data models, and ensure the integrity and cleanliness of our core data warehouse.
  • Serve as the primary analytical partner for product, operations, and finance teams, translating their abstract business questions into structured technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance, technical support, and code reviews for junior analysts, championing analytical best practices and data governance standards across the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst, with a proven track record of delivering commercial insights.
  • Advanced, hands-on SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and optimization of highly complex datasets.
  • Strong, expert-level proficiency in creating highly functional dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Strong proficiency in using Python or R for advanced data manipulation, automation, and statistical analysis.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and concisely to non-technical business teams and executives.
  • Must currently hold the legal right to work full-time in the UK without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
  • Prior experience building analytics frameworks within corporate consulting, green tech, or creative business environments.
  • Familiarity with data transformation tools such as dbt (data build tool) and version control platforms like Git.
