Job description

Role: IT Support TechnicianLocation: Whitefield, Manchester - (site based moving to 4 days a week on site)Salary: £32,000 to £34,000, * Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support to office, warehouse, factory and remote users.

  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, IP phones and mobile devices.
  • Take ownership of helpdesk tickets, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Support the delivery of key IT projects across the business.

Requirements

A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced IT Support Technician to join its growing IT team.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused IT professional with at least 2 years' experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing or industrial environment., * Minimum 2 years' IT support experience.

  • Windows 11.
  • Microsoft Intune, Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS.
  • Network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi and VPNs.
  • iOS and Android device management.
  • VoIP telephony systems.
  • Experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or a similar ITSM/helpdesk platform.

Desirable Skills

  • HCL Notes/Domino.
  • Windows Server 2019 and later
  • Endpoint security deployment and management.
  • VMware and Hyper-V.
  • MacOS.
  • Linux.

The role is predominantly site-based across two Greater Manchester locations in Whitefield and Oldham, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on IT environment, thrives on solving technical challenges, and is keen to play a key role in supporting a busy, fast-paced business.
