The RaDS IT Research Infrastructure Product Line (RIPL) engineering team is seeking a Jira and Scrum Master to support product delivery execution, improve Jira-based ways of working, and strengthen visibility across product team boards, parent boards, and program-level reporting. The Jira and Scrum Master will be responsible for enabling successful, on-time delivery across RIPL product teams by optimizing Jira boards, improving Scrum execution, enhancing parent boards and Confluence pages, and supporting automated reporting across team and program views. This role will partner closely with Product Managers, Product Technical Leads, Business Leads, Technical Analysts, Data Engineers, and Product Line leadership to improve transparency, manage delivery dependencies, and help teams realize MRL business value from GxP and non-GxP epics, stories, and tasks. The role will also help strengthen capacity management through consistent measurement of capacity, velocity, predictability, and delivery health.
Core responsibilities include:
- Identify, capture, communicate, and manage delivery risks, impediments, assumptions, and dependencies; proactively drive mitigation and escalation to reduce delivery impact.
- Manage, maintain, and coordinate deliverables across multiple squads to support integrated program timelines, roadmap commitments, and cross-team execution.
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Technical Leads, and Business Leads to build, maintain, and communicate program delivery timelines and roadmaps within Atlassian tools.
- Serve as a day-to-day coordination point across Product Managers, Product Technical Leads, Technical Analysts, Data Engineers, Product Line Leads, and other delivery stakeholders.
- Support project documentation activities as needed, including Confluence updates, meeting notes, decision logs, delivery status updates, and stakeholder-facing materials.
Requirements

- Understanding of laboratory workflows, analytical instrumentation, and data flows in the pharmaceutical R&D space is a plus
- Open to different delivery methods - what works for the team will be utilized
- Experience with GxP/regulatory considerations relevant to systems supporting lab data (e.g., knowledge of controlled access, audit trails, validated processes).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to explain technical configuration decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing support channels and prioritizing requests across a large user base.
- Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Jira boards, workflows, issue types, dashboards, filters, and automation rules to improve team execution and program-level visibility.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and cross-team dependency reviews.
- Experience building and maintaining parent boards, team boards, and program roadmaps that connect squad-level work to product line objectives and business value delivery.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery metrics, including capacity, velocity, predictability, sprint health, cycle time, and throughput, with the ability to translate metrics into actionable delivery improvements.
- Ability to identify, track, escalate, and drive resolution of risks, impediments, assumptions, dependencies, and cross-team blockers before they impact delivery timelines.
- Experience partnering with Product Managers, Product Technical Leads, Business Leads, technical analysts, data engineers, and product line leadership to coordinate priorities and delivery commitments.
- Proficiency with Confluence or similar collaboration tools for maintaining project documentation, decision logs, meeting notes, delivery playbooks, and stakeholder-facing status updates.
Experience creating automated or semi-automated reporting mechanisms that consolidate squad-level execution data into program, portfolio, or leadership views
