Job description
As an integral part of our Foundational Systems Engineering Team, you will be a key contributor to a program that is transforming concepts into real systems and working across disciplines while balancing new and traditional implementations of systems thinking. Some of our major development programs include sensors for current and next generation air and sea platforms: including EA-18 Growler, SEWIP, unmanned programs, and other restricted programs/missions.
- Application of systems engineering processes to develop systems that meet customer requirements.
- Management of requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation.
- Support preparations, execution, and resolution of major system design reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), etc.)
- Work with product teams in different disciplines and domains to ensure compliance.
- Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
This position is contingent on contract award, the successful transfer of an active U.S Government Secret clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S Citizenship is required.
- A current/active U.S Government Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience in systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.
- Experience with system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation, functional decomposition, and interface control documentation.
- Experience participating in major systems reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.
- Experience working through the systems engineering process.
- Proficient with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, MATLAB, or comparable software., * Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Experience effectively communicating and presenting complex technical concepts to project, program, and company management, other technical managers, and customers.
- Experience supporting an agile development team.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
