Job description

This role focuses on designing and implementing FPGA-based solutions that power real-time, high-accuracy micro-location systems. You will integrate advanced DSP and IQ radio processing algorithms to achieve centimeter-level precision in dynamic environments, while optimizing FPGA resource usage for high-speed interfaces and precision timing. Working closely with hardware, software, RF, and product design teams, you will explore new approaches to improve micro-location accuracy and robustness, rapidly prototype cutting-edge concepts, and translate them into production-ready solutions., * Design and implement FPGA-based solutions that support real-time, high-accuracy micro-location systems.

  • Incorporate advanced DSP and IQ radio processing algorithms to achieve centimeter-level precision in dynamic and complex environments.
  • Streamline and optimize FPGA resource usage for high-speed interfaces and precision timing applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, RF, and product design, to develop robust micro-location solutions.
  • Investigate emerging technologies and industry trends in signal processing, radio interfaces, and localization methods to inform design decisions.
  • Rapidly prototype innovative concepts and evolve them into viable, production-ready FPGA and DSP solutions.
  • Design, optimize, and validate high-performance DSP algorithms, particularly for wireless communication or localization technologies.
  • Translate limited or high-level concept ideas into proof-of-concept systems and guide them through to production-ready implementations.
  • Contribute to problem-solving efforts in a fast-paced R&D environment, addressing performance, robustness, and scalability challenges.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in FPGA or ASIC design and RTL implementation.
  • Solid understanding of DSP algorithms, including FFT, filtering, modulation, and demodulation.
  • Hands-on experience with IQ radio processing for high-precision applications.
  • Comfort working with FPGA development toolchains such as Vivado.
  • Experience using version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Proficiency in designing, optimizing, and validating high-performance DSP algorithms, especially for wireless communication or localization technologies.
  • Ability to work from limited initial concept ideas and develop them into proof-of-concept systems and production-ready solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced research and development environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with hardware, software, RF, and product design teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with error correction techniques for digital communication systems.
  • Knowledge of MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) systems.
  • Experience with beamforming or similar advanced signal processing methods.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and industry trends in signal processing, radio interfaces, and localization methods.
  • Motivation to contribute to next-generation technologies that impact mobility, retail, travel, and related domains.
  • Interest in opportunities for professional advancement, mentorship, and leadership.

Benefits & conditions

This position follows a hybrid work model centered around the Southfield office. Team members work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and are in the office from Tuesday through Thursday. The role operates in a fast-paced, problem-solving R&D environment focused on developing next-generation technology for applications such as mobility, retail, and travel. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and leverage modern FPGA development toolchains and version control systems as part of your daily work.
