This team supports Walmart International's operations across over 5,200 retail units in 23 countries, including Canada, India, Mexico, and South Africa. It delivers scalable software solutions by applying collaborative engineering practices and integrating advanced technologies. The team manages full lifecycle development, from design through deployment, ensuring reliable and efficient systems. Emphasizing technical excellence, continuous improvement, and effective communication, the team plays a key role in meeting customer, associate, and business needs while supporting Walmart's global retail presence and evolving business objectives.
What you'll do:
- Analyze and classify requirements to align with business and technical objectives, ensuring comprehensive solution scoping.
- Design scalable software components by evaluating trade-offs and converting high-level designs into detailed functional logic.
- Develop maintainable, testable code adhering to coding standards and security policies, utilizing appropriate languages and frameworks.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure quality and compliance with nonfunctional requirements.
- Automate routine tasks within continuous integration and delivery pipelines to enhance development efficiency.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective actions to maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business needs and support continuous improvement initiatives., office coupled with virtual when not onsite. Requirements
- 8+ years of product development experience building rich user experiences for scalable products, ideally in web applications
- Proficiency in modern web technologies; React, Redux, Node.js, GraphQL , Jest, Storybook, Webpack, i18n/l10n, a11y, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple complex technical projects in an agile environment
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of learning, psychological safety, respect for differences and collaboration across all engineering skill levels.
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail
- Believes in the value of writing code that is clean, testable, and maintainable
