Job description
As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our customers' operations. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you'll help ensure the reliability, efficiency, and uptime of electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems across our data center campus.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities, or similar technical experience who enjoys preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Your Contribution Will Likely Include

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and equipment cleaning to maximize system reliability and performance.

Monitor environmental conditions, power systems, and facility performance using building monitoring systems.

Respond to alarms and operational events, investigate issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate.

Partner with senior engineers to troubleshoot equipment, support repairs, and document findings and resolutions.

Assist with inventory management, including tracking replacement parts and maintaining equipment records.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.

Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts to help maintain uninterrupted operations.

Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed.

Document incidents, identify root causes, and contribute to continuous operational improvements.

Utilize AI-enabled tools and automation platforms to streamline administrative work, documentation, meeting notes, and other routine tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities maintenance, or another related technical field required.

Technical certifications or coursework related to data center operations preferred.

Strong interest in learning critical facility systems and mission-critical infrastructure.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates across the organization.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate hand and power tools.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, overtime, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, including the adoption of AI tools and emerging technologies.
Benefits & conditions
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $62,685 - $94,027.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position and is eligible for a target discretionary bonus.
