You will lead engineering enhancements, design modern virtual desktop solutions, and solve complex challenges that directly impact our customers and national security operations. You will be responsible for engineering, securing, and optimizing enterprise VDI platforms.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Designing, implementing, and sustaining Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Provisioning, and Virtual Apps/Desktops in large-scale environments.
- Engineering and supporting Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Automating processes using PowerShell or Python
- Performing Tier 3+ troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization of VDI infrastructure.
- Maintaining engineering documentation, processes, and procedures for VDI lifecycle management.

- DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance (Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, CySA+, or CCNA Security, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience designing, developing, maintaining, and testing desktop virtualization infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with:
- Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, App Layering, ELM
- Azure Virtual Desktop deployments on Windows Server 2019/2022
- Windows 10/11 SOE, imaging, evergreen methodologies
- Scripting (PowerShell and/or Python)
- SQL Clustering Failover (preferred)
- Enterprise networking, cloud, and virtualization architectures
Preferred certification(s):
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (1Y0-312)
- CWS-215: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Administration On-Premises and in Citrix Cloud
- Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101)
- Azure Virtual Desktop specialty certs
Benefits & conditions
The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
