Job description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer Consultant to support a large-scale infrastructure modernization initiative. The organization is actively transforming and optimizing its enterprise technology environment while preparing for future growth and scalability. This consultant will join a collaborative IT team responsible for supporting approximately 155 active systems across the organization. As the infrastructure continues to evolve, this individual will play a key role in system cleanup, remediation, optimization, and engineering improvements to help create a more stable, supportable, and modern IT environment. This role suits an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working in evolving environments, and building long-term solutions rather than simply maintaining existing systems., * Support ongoing infrastructure modernization initiatives across a diverse enterprise environment.

  • Engineer, implement, and optimize modern infrastructure solutions while assisting with the migration, cleanup, and optimization of approximately 155 active systems.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure, identify technical debt, and recommend improvements to increase stability, performance, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues independently and develop sustainable technical solutions without requiring constant direction from leadership.
  • Utilize PowerShell and automation technologies to streamline repetitive administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Leverage AI-assisted scripting tools to accelerate automation efforts while reviewing, validating, troubleshooting, and enhancing generated scripts.
  • Support networking, virtualization, compute, storage, and systems infrastructure across a modern enterprise environment.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams while maintaining communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Document technical solutions, infrastructure changes, and engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and help establish a more standardized and maintainable infrastructure environment.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on infrastructure engineering experience within complex enterprise environments.
  • Broad technical background as an IT generalist with experience across networking, systems, virtualization, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco networking fundamentals, including the OSI Model and network troubleshooting principles.
  • Experience supporting hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) environments.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting abilities with the capability to develop, troubleshoot, and enhance automation scripts.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to accelerate scripting and automation while validating and refining generated code.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot independently and solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience supporting modern infrastructure technologies in dynamic and evolving enterprise environments.
  • Communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, learn new technologies, and thrive in changing environments.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.

Rate: $90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
