Remote Network Administrator III

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Network Administrator III to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise network environment for our telecommunications client. This role will focus on network administration, security remediation, software upgrades, vendor management, and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting multi-vendor environments including Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies, with a strong understanding of network security. Candidates with network engineering experience and a background in automation are highly encouraged to apply. This individual must work in Alaskan time zone and be able to work 1-2 times a week in maintenance window and eventually be added to the on-call rotation, * Perform network administration, troubleshooting, and support activities across enterprise network environments.

• Execute security remediation efforts, including implementation and modification of access control lists (ACLs) and security policies.

• Plan and perform software and firmware upgrades on network infrastructure.

• Manage vendor support cases and assist with network audits and compliance initiatives.

• Conduct high-availability and failover testing to ensure network resiliency and business continuity.

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support firewall administration and security operations across network technologies.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on network optimization and infrastructure projects.

• 5+ years of experience in Network Administration or Network Engineering.

• 2+ years of experience with Nokia

• Experience working with Cisco and Juniper network environments.

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

• 2+ years of experience applying security best practices across network infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, network security, and troubleshooting methodologies. * Nokia NSP (Network Services Platform).

• PenSP and command-line network deployment tools.

• Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management.

• Brocade networking technologies.

• Ability to develop automation solutions through scripting or network automation platforms.

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, PCNSA, PCNSE, or Nokia certifications.
