Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer. In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in C++, gRPC, publish/subscribe (pub/sub) design patterns, AMQP or other broker-based messaging protocols, and the Linux Operating System.

Generally has 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Strong background in Java development, object oriented design, design patterns

Experience in FOSS storage solutions, database design, and optimization of existing storage architectures

Experience with Object Broker / PubSub communication patterns such as CORBA and gRPC

Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting

Familiarity with software-defined storage technologies such as RookFS and CEPH

Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and Helm Charts

Familiarity with software pipeline automation tools like Gradle

Familiarity with configuration technologies like JSON and YAML
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

#WeAreLM, Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
