Job description
The Analyst will drive business capabilities, results and Ally strategic imperatives by: Producing reports accurately and timely to support operational performance Delivering ad-hoc data when promised to support operational/business needs Analyzing data to produce actionable recommendations to stakeholders to improve business processes Supporting and/or leading projects to improve shareholder value Proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risk Providing thought leadership and recommending potential solutions/improvements to business leaders Driving individual and team development.
The Work Itself
- Monitor business performance to identify and help correct performance problems and provide feedback regarding areas requiring attention.
- Assists in development/reviews of project plans, assists in efforts to execute on project timelines.
- Support the development of presentation to communicate information to business leaders.
- Apply sound control processes into daily processes to effectively identify, assess and manage risk.
- Maintain code logic to pull, sanitize, aggregate, conform, and produce operational and portfolio-level reports accurately.
- Work collaboratively with matrix - vendor partners to ensure alignment with strategic imperatives.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent is preferred.
- 1 + years of experience with SQL, Python & Nucleus.
- Auto Finance domain preferred.
- Applies basic concepts, logic, methods and analysis.
- Understands core analysis principles.
- Change management capabilities.
- Exposure to project management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Proficient public speaking and presentation skills (using PowerPoint as needed).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- General understanding of data mining.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Business partnering skills, including good interpersonal skills with ability to work well horizontally and vertically within organization.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- General knowledge of MS Excel including functions, VBA/macros.
- Hybrid role: In-office (Tuesday - Thursday)
