Job description

The Public Sector Helathcare and Lifescience Operations Leader will serve as a strategic partner to the Sales Leaders, providing analytical leadership and operational excellence across the centralized support functions that enable WWPS sales teams. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into actionable insights while building scalable processes that support rapid organizational growth.

The Public Sector HCLS Operations Leader will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to AWS's customers. This position also manages the administration and execution of the team's goals, including segmentation of business goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the Business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results.

This role requires adaptability as priorities evolve with our business growth. The dynamic nature of the public cloud business and Amazon's pace of innovation means the successful candidate will operate effectively in environments of ambiguity and find satisfaction in both strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution. The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models/data. They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The candidate will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. They will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, superb analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal organizations. Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities., * Partner with HCLS Sales to develop long-term operational strategies that align with WWPS business objectives

  • Serve as a thought partner to leadership on organizational design, resource allocation, and capability development
  • Working with the local sales teams, lead the annual Goals, budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain forecasting models, metrics, dashboards, and analytic reports to drive business decisions across the Public Sector Business. Lead routine and ad-hoc reporting to AWS senior management on Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, and goal attainment, ensuring reports deliver actionable insights while minimizing report burden
  • Lead the modeling and development of recommendations for resource allocations.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging 3rd party data sources as needed for Analytics
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Data/BI, Finance, HR, and other corporate teams to influence enterprise-wide systems and processes

Requirements

10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
