Job description
Provides JCC2 applications SME level support to high intensity Cyber-Warfighter operations. The JCC2 SME will be the primary HNCJ representative providing strategic and tactical expertise in JCC2 applications for on-site, operator-level support across the range of cyber operations from planning through execution to post-mission activities and will provide training and improve adoption across the range of the Cyber Operations community. These applications supported by this JCC2 SME include Joint Cyber Operations (JCO), JCC2-Readiness (JCC2-R), Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS), Rally, ThreatHub, and others as directed. The JCC2 SME uses their advanced knowledge of the Cyber domains to support JCC2 Onsite support, training as directed by the PMO, and provide JCC2 capability integration support to PMO and associated development teams.
Requirements
- Top Secret/SCI clearance and may need to obtain a polygraph
- In depth knowledge of JCC2 programs and applications (Joint Cyber Operations, Threat Awareness Sharing Capabilities, Readiness Applications, MADSS, etc.) and how to use them in an operational environment
- Intimate familiarity with military operations including phases of planning, approval, and execution
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals as well as concepts, terminology, and operations of a wide range of communications media (computer and telephone networks, satellite, fiber, wireless)
- Ability to provide concise, articulate, polished writing of documents, summaries, issue papers, talking points, and briefings
- Possess strong skills with attention to detail and a demonstrated proficiency working in a fast-paced environment, with ability to multi-task, apply critical thinking methodologies, and meet short deadlines
- The JCC2 SME shall have advanced, cyberspace operator-level knowledge of JCC2 applications across all security domains
- Other duties as assigned, * Must be a US Citizen
- Five years recent (since 2017) work experience as Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO)/ Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) planner;
- can substitute two years of experience requirement for at least two or more years spent on a Combat Mission Team (CMT) or Cyber Protection Team (CPT) in any work role;
- can substitute two years' work experience requirement for at least two or more years in an OCO/DCO planner role within a Joint Force Headquarters - Cyber (JFHQ-C) command
- Experience with SQL queries to modify dashboards in JCC2 applications
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey complex and technical data to non-technical consumers
Additional desired, but not required, qualifications:
- General knowledge of SAFe Agile acquisitions processes
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals as well as concepts, terminology, and operations of a wide range of communications media (computer and telephone networks, satellite, fiber, wireless).
