Job description
We have an opportunity for a Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our Golden Valley, MN team. In this role, you will lead the design, governance, and optimization of Pentair's Salesforce CRM ecosystem. You will partner across business and IT to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that enable enterprise growth and digital transformation.
You will:
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate strategic requirements into scalable Salesforce architecture and administrative solutions.
- Serve as a trusted platform expert, guiding solution design, configuration, and governance across Salesforce clouds.
- Lead the design and oversight of declarative and programmatic solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Own platform administration, including user management, security model design, data governance, and environment strategy.
- Drive architecture decisions for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other platform capabilities including integrations and data models.
- Establish and enforce governance, release management, and DevOps processes to maintain platform stability and compliance.
- Design and optimize data models, automation (Flows), and reporting solutions to improve business efficiency and decision-making.
- Collaborate with developers and integration teams to ensure seamless interoperability with enterprise systems (ERP, middleware, data platforms).
- Lead initiatives to reduce technical debt, improve platform performance, and standardize scalable solutions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to administrators and developers to elevate platform capability across the team.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices to support long-term maintainability.
- Support agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, release planning, and production support.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience, including platform administration and solution architecture in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Salesforce certifications required (e.g., Administrator); advanced certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA track preferred.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, security model design, data modeling, and declarative automation.
- Proven experience leading complex Salesforce implementations across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Experience designing integrations using APIs, middleware, and event-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of governance, DevOps processes, and release management frameworks.
- Ability to balance declarative vs. programmatic solutions and guide teams accordingly.
- Experience with enterprise data strategies, reporting, and analytics (e.g., Power BI or similar tools).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and align technical solutions to business outcomes.
- Experience working in global, cross-functional environments.
Benefits & conditions
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $98400 - $182700 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
