Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology team focused on delivering reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions. This role serves as the bridge between Software Engineering and IT, ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and automation of product deployment processes while supporting modern cloud and infrastructure initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud technologies, and production system support. This position offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams to improve deployment processes, enhance security, and drive operational excellence., * Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for new and existing software products.

  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineers and IT teams to understand technical requirements and support deployment strategies.
  • Manage and support build, release, and deployment processes across multiple environments.
  • Conduct regular reviews of build and release environments to ensure compliance, security, and operational readiness.
  • Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve security, resilience, scalability, and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and application issues.
  • Document support, maintenance, and infrastructure activities through ticketing and change management systems.
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps, cloud, security, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Support infrastructure and technology projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in a production environment, or 5+ years of software engineering experience with DevOps responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience administering both Windows and Linux servers in production environments.
  • Strong experience designing, building, and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting, particularly Bash and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft .NET applications and modern web technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation best practices.
  • Experience supporting highly available, scalable cloud environments.
