Job description
Our client seeks a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to build and integrate information flows across systems while enabling a consistent client experience through portals and APIs. The role is primarily back-end focused with some front-end responsibilities. The developer will analyze requirements, drive solutions from design to implementation, and contribute to architecture and technology choices., * Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and support integrations across internal and external systems using APIs, messaging platforms, and data services.
- Develop and enhance RESTful services and microservice-based applications.
- Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical planning sessions.
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define application enhancements and new functionality.
- Follow and contribute to established architecture standards, development patterns, and best practices.
- Research and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve application performance and scalability.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and production support activities.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to other team members.
- Work closely with QA and other technology teams to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
Requirements
- 7-9 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java 17 and/or Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Kafka, SQL Server and/or Oracle, and REST APIs.
- Experience designing and building scalable enterprise applications.
- Ability to understand business requirements prior to development and to take ownership through completion with minimal oversight.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
- Preferred: Angular experience, cloud-based architectures, microservices, NoSQL databases, Camunda workflow/BPM, event-driven architectures, and exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Rate: $95.00 to $105.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
