Job description
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems, including accounting software, budgeting tools, and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data solutions
- Ensure the integrity of financial data through regular audits and controls.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and performance indicators.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Support project managers in tracking project budgets and financial performance.
- Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to meet business and data processing needs
- Integrate and process data from diverse sources, including databases, APIs, CSV, Excel, TXT, XML, and JSON files
- Develop, optimize, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support ETL processes and Power BI datasets
- Build custom ETL components and scripts using C# and Python for advanced data processing
- Design and maintain data models, database schemas, tables, views, and indexes
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure high data quality
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data integration workflows and SQL Agent jobs
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead software development projects and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of professional services industry workflows (project accounting, billing, time & expense, budgeting, CRM)
Software:
- MS SQL Server, MS SQL Integration Services, Excel
- Proven experience developing and integrating APIs using C# (or) Python and Postman
- Strong experience working with and parsing XML and JSON data formats
- Experience working with Deltek APIs and integration frameworks
- Experience with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools
Licensure/Certifications/Education
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field required
