Job description

As a Network Engineer you will be expected to c onfigure and operate Cisco platforms such as ASA, Firepower, Nexus switches, and IOS-based routers . You may also have responsibility in supporting routing protocols and tunneling technologies including OSPF, BGP, IBGP, GRE, and MPLS L3VPN. You will be expected to regularly t roubleshoot complex network performance issues and implement corrective actions as well as s upport network architecture reviews, capacity planning, and performance optimization and i ntegrate network security controls aligned to enterprise security and information assurance requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering

  • Experience with Cisco network technologies

  • Experience with routing, switching, network design, network performance management, and network planning

  • Experience with GRE tunnels and BGP or IBGP

  • Experience with Juniper networks and MPLS L3VPN

  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA Firepower, Cisco Nexus, Cisco routers, and Cisco IOS

  • Knowledge of network security design principles

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience with network operations support and enterprise network architecture

  • Experience with voice technologies such as Cisco TMS or Cisco Voice

  • Experience with network security auditing and information assurance

  • Knowledge of LAN design, engineering principles, and hybrid delivery environments

  • Possession of strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Cisco Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
