Job description
We are seeking an IAM Administrator to support identity and access management, Active Directory administration, and cybersecurity operations across a large enterprise environment supporting 3,000+ users. This individual will manage user access, maintain system security, support onboarding/offboarding processes, and collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and reliable operations. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Administer and maintain Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Identity & Access Management (IAM) environments Create, modify, and deactivate employee and contractor accounts Manage security groups, OU structures, folder permissions, and role-based access controls Process onboarding, offboarding, and user access requests through ITSM/ticketing systems Monitor IAM alerts, security notifications, and unauthorized access attempts Support authentication platforms including Azure SSO and SmartCard administration (Axiad) Perform monthly patching, system maintenance, system recovery testing, and security hardening activities Troubleshoot access issues, authentication problems, connectivity concerns, and PowerShell automation scripts Develop and maintain system administration documentation and standard operating procedures Participate in on-call and after-hours patching rotations
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Active Directory administration Experience provisioning user accounts, security groups, OU containers, and folder permissions Experience with Entra ID / Azure AD and identity & access management processes Experience supporting onboarding/offboarding and user provisioning/deprovisioning Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, access control, and user security policies Experience with SCCM or similar patch management tools Experience with system recovery, server administration, and troubleshooting Strong documentation, customer service, and communication skills Security+ and A+ certifications
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience administering Axiad SmartCards Experience supporting SSO and authentication integrations Proficiency in PowerShell for automation, script troubleshooting, and administration Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, network security, and enterprise infrastructure Experience with cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, or NOSC/security operations collaboration Experience supporting large enterprise environments (1,000+ users) Additional security or infrastructure certifications Experience with virtualization technologies and system hardening SSCP, CySA+, CND, GSEC, CCNA Security, Network+
