Job description
One of Insight Global's major clients is seeking a highly organized and strategic Technical Program Manager to lead and deliver complex, high-impact security initiatives across hyperscale data center environments with a strong focus on compliance, resiliency, operational readiness, and risk reduction. This role provides strategic oversight and execution leadership for critical security programs, particularly projects where original deployment scope was deferred, partially completed, or requires remediation to meet evolving business, regulatory, or operational requirements. Daily responsibilities include:
- Lead technical and non-technical programs across cross-functional teams, ensuring scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables stay aligned to business goals.
- Use technical knowledge to identify program risks, dependencies, feasibility concerns, testing requirements, and resource needs.
- Track program progress, maintain documentation, create status updates, and communicate key risks, issues, and next steps to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering, product, operations, and business teams to align priorities, resolve blockers, and keep initiatives moving forward.
- Support rapid response to security escalations, incidents, or customer-impacting issues by assessing risk, coordinating mitigation plans, and driving resolution.
- Forecast program demand, resource needs, and delivery risks to ensure goals remain realistic and achievable.
- Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies using feedback, KPIs, retrospectives, and continuous improvement methods.
- Partner with development teams to improve dashboards, reports, forecasts, tools, models, and other program tracking mechanisms.
- Manage change across program scope, priorities, schedules, and requirements while keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, large meetings, and cross-functional discussions to drive consensus, resolve conflicts, and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Program Manager leading technical programs, development/implementation projects, or complex cross-functional initiatives from conception through delivery; or a bachelor's degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant program management experience.
- Strong understanding of data center and enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud-based systems.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and network segmentation.
- Experience managing projects in public cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong ability to identify, track, and manage technical risks, dependencies, scope, timelines, resources, and program deliverables.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle practices, and continuous improvement approaches.
- Strong business acumen, communication skills, and conflict resolution ability to align stakeholders, drive decisions, and maintain positive cross-functional team dynamics., * 9+ years of technical program management experience, or advanced degree combinations with relevant program management experience.
- Experience working in enterprise cloud services, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, networking, distributed systems, or large enterprise customer environments.
- 3+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies and tools, including Agile, SAFe, or similar delivery frameworks.
- Experience leading cross-functional, cross-level matrixed teams and facilitating large stakeholder meetings to drive alignment and consensus.
- Experience with budgets/project financials, data analysis and reporting, executive-level program communication, software development or implementation consulting, and/or certifications such as PMP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma, or ITIL.
