Job description

As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting/debugging of software applications to multiple locations across Colorado. Primary software deployments are in Boulder with occasional travel to Aurora and Colorado Springs.

The selected candidate will lead integration & testing on multiple software product baselines. This includes the following essential functions.

    • Python, C++, and Java (in Linux environments).
    • Perform these activities in the Boulder factory environment and site facilities.
    • Execute regression tests and validate software after patches.
    • Conduct live software debugging, performance analysis, and defect reporting using Atlassian Jira.
    • Create automated test scripts, document test procedures, produce test reports, and conduct formal requirement verification and validation.
    • Support and coordinate special test events as needed.
    • Effectively collaborate with development, sustainment, program management, and customers; provide regular status updates to engineering and management; representing I&T in Defect Resolution Board meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience; a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience; or a PhD with 4 years of related experience.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.

  • Experience with formal requirement verification and composition

  • Experience with test procedure development for verification of requirements

  • Experience creating test plans and procedures

  • Agile development experience a plus

  • Experience with the Agile software development lifecycle

  • Experience using Red Hat Linux and Windows operating systems

  • DoD Top Secret and SCI/Poly eligible highly desired

  • A DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+) highly desired

  • Experience or related experience in Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems

  • Working knowledge of DOORS, CAMEO, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

Benefits & conditions

Primary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
