Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled System Tool Developer to design, develop, and maintain data logger systems for in-vehicle recording of camera, ultrasonic sensor, radar, and vehicle bus data. This role involves ensuring data integrity and time synchronization, as well as developing reprocessing systems for sensor data validation and regression testing., * Develop and maintain data logger systems for in-vehicle sensor data recording.
- Design and maintain reprocessing systems for sensor data replay and validation.
- Develop system test tools and frameworks for HIL/SIL testing and data validation.
- Build and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines across various formats.
- Design and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for data ingestion and retrieval.
- Develop image processing components for sensor data visualization and analysis.
- Design and maintain database schemas for test data management and retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tooling with development needs.
- Gather and document tool requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews, write tests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide user support, documentation, and training for developed tools.
- Stay updated on industry best practices in data logging and cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- 1-4 years of experience in software tool development.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for tool and application development.
- Experience with database design and development (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Experience in cloud development.
- Knowledge of image processing techniques and libraries such as OpenCV.
- Experience with tools like PTC Integrity, Codebeamer, ADTF, ROS, Docker, Git, and CI/CD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience in automotive workflows.
- AWS experience (S3, EC2, Lambda, or similar service).
- Experience with automotive data logging or reprocessing systems.
- Familiarity with autonomous driving standards, ADAS systems, and sensor calibration.
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
