Job description
As a Data Center Operations Technician, you'll support the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 mission-critical data center and administrative facility. You'll help maintain the electrical and mechanical systems that keep operations running reliably while responding to equipment issues, monitoring building systems, and performing preventative maintenance.

Your Contribution Will Likely Include

Perform routine preventative maintenance on critical facility equipment and building systems.

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and assist with repairs to minimize downtime.

Support equipment testing, inspections, cleaning, and scheduled maintenance activities.

Monitor environmental conditions, power systems, alarms, and other building control systems to ensure optimal performance.

Respond to alarms and operational issues, investigate root causes, and assist with corrective actions.

Maintain accurate equipment inventory records, including asset locations, serial numbers, and replacement parts.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance, repairs, installations, and equipment upgrades.

Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts to help maintain uninterrupted operations.

Assist senior technicians and engineers with facility projects, maintenance activities, and operational improvements.

Maintain organized equipment rooms, cable management, and clean work areas that support efficient operations.

Utilize AI tools and automation technologies to streamline routine administrative tasks such as documentation, meeting notes, communication drafts, and operational tracking.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

General maintenance experience or equivalent technical experience.

Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Ability to quickly learn new software applications and operational systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates, vendors, and business partners.

Ability to respond promptly to on-call situations.

Ability and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and emerging technologies.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to work swing shifts and night shifts.

Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.

This onsite role offers a Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. schedule, competitive pay, 100% employer-paid employee medical coverage, and a matched 401(k). Description: What you'll be doing, The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $48,235 - $72,352plus bonus eligibility.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
