You will design, build, and support high-performance applications using modern Java technologies, microservices architectures, event-driven platforms, and AWS cloud services. Working closely with architects, product managers, and engineering teams, you will lead the modernization of business-critical systems, drive cloud adoption, and contribute to the development of resilient, secure, and highly scalable solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building distributed systems, and improving software quality through automation, continuous delivery, and engineering best practices.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Lead modernization initiatives, including migration of business logic from database-centric systems and stored procedures into cloud-native Java services.
- Design and implement event-driven solutions using Kafka and enterprise messaging technologies.
- Develop and support REST and SOAP APIs with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, and IAM.
- Optimize application performance, resiliency, observability, and security across distributed systems.
- Champion automation-first engineering practices, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and continuous quality improvements.
- Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize database interactions and data processing across PostgreSQL and Snowflake environments.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions that improve system stability and performance.
- Partner closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence, software craftsmanship, and best practices across the team.

- Hands-on experience with Kafka or enterprise messaging technologies such as MQ, Solace, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience building and supporting RESTful and SOAP-based services.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Proficiency with Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with code quality and security tools including SonarQube, Fortify, and Veracode.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience working in Agile environments with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Snowflake, data warehousing, and advanced SQL development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Exposure to front-end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and integrating cloud-native microservices with enterprise platforms.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
