Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot ., + Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while troubleshooting production issues.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

  • Serve as the team's Apache Flink Subject Matter Expert , providing technical leadership on streaming data initiatives.

  • Support broader AWS cloud engineering efforts after Flink-specific work is completed.

Requirements

  • Expert-level experience building and maintaining Apache Flink data pipelines.

  • Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.

  • Hands-on AWS development experience with EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions .

  • Experience developing applications in Golang .

  • Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.

  • Experience with Kubernetes , Docker , and cloud-native application deployment.

  • Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.

  • Proficiency with Git version control.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Production experience designing and supporting Apache Flink streaming applications.

  • Experience developing cloud-native AWS solutions beyond Flink deployments.

  • Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems.

  • Ability to serve as a technical leader while contributing across multiple cloud technologies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
