Job description
An analyst does the following: Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections. Build and maintain a line-of-business web applications used for integration & test scheduling, job management, and related workflows. The system is a full-stack solution with an Angular SPA front-end and a .NET/SQL Server back-end. Work includes feature development, performance tuning, complex SQL/EF queries, and UI/UX tweaks in a fairly intricate codebase.
Feature Development
- Implement new features and enhancements in an Angular front-end (components, services, modals, grids, filters).
- Extend and maintain ASP.NET Core / .NET back-end APIs (Web API controllers, service layer, repositories).
Data & Persistence
- Design and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, temp-table-heavy batch logic, and reporting queries.
- Work with Entity Framework Core and raw SQL (
FromSql,INSERT ... EXEC, etc.) in a mixed environment
UI/UX & Front-End Integration
- Work with Bootstrap, DevExtreme (data grids, filters, date pickers), and custom shared components.
- Diagnose and fix complex layout/behavior issues (modals, flexbox, alignment, responsive behavior)
Code Quality & Maintenance
- Refactor code (C#, T-SQL, Angular) to improve readability, performance, and testability without breaking behavior.
- Write and maintain unit/integration tests where feasible
DevOps & Collaboration
- Use Azure DevOps for Git repos, pull requests, branching, and CI/CD
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and production troubleshooting
Requirements

Bachelors in Science degree with 2 years of software experience or similar OR a Masters degree

Experience of databases (i.e. MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, Redshift, Oracle)

Experience with C# or similar (GoLang, Perl, C++, Ruby) server-side scripts

Bachelors in Science degree with 5 years of software experience or similar, Masters degree with 3 years of software experience or similar or PhD with 1 year of experience in software experience or similar

Experience of databases (i.e. MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, Redshift, Oracle)

Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
