Job description
A TEKsystems Client is looking for an Oracle DBA with deep experience maintaining and support the Oracle eBusiness suite (EBS) and its various financial modules. Candidate will utilize Oracle EBS R12 Applications DBA (AD) utilities to perform maintenance of the multi-node e-Business Suite environment with Shared File System, managing and administering Concurrent Managers, Concurrent Programs, Request Sets, Request Groups, Workflows, and troubleshooting Workflow Mailer/Notification issues.
Responsibilities:

Administer and support Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR modules)

Maintain and administer Oracle 12c/19c databases supporting Oracle EBS R12 (12.2.12), including production, development, test and UAT

Performs Oracle EBS maintenance tasks including patching (adop cycle and opatch), cloning, creating backup and recovery strategies, upgrading, performance tuning/optimization.

Perform daily database health checks, monitor performance, optimize SQL queries, and manage backup/recovery using RMAN and Data Guard

Perform database maintenance, patching, upgrades, and security updates

Handle system deployments, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

Provide after-hours support for patching and maintenance activities when required

Create and maintain technical documentation

Manage and maintain Oracle APEX applications

Manage Oracle job scheduling and automation processes

Implement and maintain Oracle's Advanced Security features (e.g., TDE encryption, fine-grained auditing, wallet authentication)

Requirements

Experience with Oracle EBS System Administration

Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters a plus

Strong experience in Oracle database and EBS application upgrades and patching

Experience setting up disaster recovery using RMAN and data guard

Experience writing shell scripts for backup, automation and routine data loads

Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL

Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems

Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts and best practices

Experience with Oracle job scheduler

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
