Job description
To strengthen our Data & Analytics team in Vienna, we are looking for a passionate Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) . In this role, you design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions in a modern Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environment , enabling reporting, analytics, and self-service BI through high-quality, governed data products., * You design, build, and automate scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse solutions in Microsoft Fabric, ensuring reliable and governed data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
- You take end-to-end ownership of data products, from requirements analysis, data modelling and optimization to development, automated testing, deployment, and operation
- You ensure data quality, governance, security, and reliable automated operations through standards, metadata management, validation, monitoring, and access controls
- You collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders in an agile environment to deliver analytics-ready data products and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- You bring solid experience in Data Engineering on modern cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks) and a strong understanding of Lakehouse architectures and analytics data modeling
- You have strong technical skills in SQL, Spark, and Python, with hands-on experience in building, orchestrating, monitoring, and automating data pipelines and CI/CD processes.
- You work in a structured, quality-oriented manner and are passionate about delivering scalable, low-maintenance, and business-focused data solutions
- Ideally, you have experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, self-service analytics, and data governance frameworks, including security and compliance considerations
- You communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders and have a proven track record of driving collaboration and successful delivery in agile, cross-functional, and scaled agile environments
Benefits & conditions
For this position, an annual compensation package starting at € 60,000 gross all-in is offered according to your qualifications and professional experience.
