Hays is looking for an IT Support Engineer for one of its clients, a well-established and growing company active in the food manufacturing industry. This organization employs several hundred people and combines office, logistics and production activities on a single site.
You will join an internal IT team of seven colleagues where collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement are key values. Your new role
As an IT Support Engineer, you are the first point of contact for IT-related questions and incidents throughout the organization. You provide hands-on support to office users, warehouse employees and production staff while helping to ensure business continuity., * Providing 1st and 2nd line support for end users
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and infrastructure-related issues
- Managing and supporting Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and Intune
- Supporting operational devices such as warehouse scanners and other equipment used for logistics and order-picking activities
- Resolving incidents through the ticketing system while maintaining close contact with end users through an open-door support culture
- Prioritizing support requests and ensuring critical issues are addressed efficiently
- Identifying recurring issues and contributing to process and service improvements based on ITIL principles
- Collaborating closely with the infrastructure team and escalating more complex issues when necessary
This is a hands-on role where you are visible throughout the organization. Besides supporting office users, you will regularly assist colleagues in the warehouse and production areas on the same site with operational IT issues.You report to the ICT & Business Analysis Manager and work closely with the rest of the IT team.
Requirements
You enjoy combining technical problem-solving with direct user interaction and feel comfortable working in an environment where priorities can shift throughout the day. You bring:
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and a good command of English
- A bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Initial experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Infrastructure Support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and Intune
- Familiarity with Citrix environments
- Basic knowledge of networking and IT security is an asset
- A customer-focused and service-minded attitude
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, hands-on and pragmatic mindset
Experience in a production, manufacturing or logistics environment is considered a strong advantage.
