Job description
- Design and execute analyses on large-scale, time-series and clinical datasets
- Develop and improve data processing and quality control pipelines
- Apply statistical and machine learning methods to identify and validate meaningful patterns in complex clinical and physiological data
- Critically assess data quality, limitations, and potential biases in real-world data
- Provide expert input on analytical approaches and methodological questions
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, engineers, and data teams
- Translate complex analytical results into clear, decision-relevant insights
- Contribute to scientific outputs, including manuscripts, reports, and presentations
- Ensure reproducibility and transparency of analyses (code, documentation, versioning)
Requirements
- Holding an MSc or PhD in (Medical) Data Science, Biostatistics, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- Bringing several years of hands-on experience in data science, statistics, or quantitative analysis
- Having strong Python programming skills, especially for signal processing and data analysis (scipy, numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc)
- Having strong foundation in statistical modeling and data analysis
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of software architecture fundamentals and the ability to contribute meaningfully to complex codebases
- Able to identify and validate meaningful patterns in complex, imperfect datasets, distinguishing true signals from noise and artefacts
- Experienced in working with real-world data, including handling missingness, bias, and confounding, and translating results into scientifically meaningful conclusions
- Showing strong communication skills, including explaining complex analytical topics to diverse stakeholders
- Experienced in collaborating effectively in interdisciplinary and international environments
- Demonstrating excellent written and spoken English skills
