Job description
- Play a key role in building and developing the regional data infrastructure supporting European operations.
- Work with diverse data sources, including sales systems, vehicle telematics, market data, partner data, and charging infrastructure information.
- Collaborate closely with Data, IT, Legal, Compliance, and business teams across Europe and HQ.
- Contribute to data governance, data quality, and GDPR-compliant data processing from an early stage.
- Support data-driven decision-making across sales, customer insights, and aftersales activities.
- Grow within a global automotive group with strong development opportunities in data engineering and platform operations.
- Design, build, and maintain EU regional data pipelines and data platforms under the Group data platform framework.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including local sales systems, vehicle telematics, market research data, external partners, and other business systems.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data availability, stability, and reliability.
- Build and maintain usable datasets, data models, and basic data services for analysts and business teams.
- Support data use cases related to sales analysis, customer insights, aftersales operations, and regional business performance.
- Contribute to data governance and data quality initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, traceability, and reliability of EU regional data.
- Implement GDPR-related technical requirements in data processing, including privacy-by-design measures, in collaboration with Legal and Compliance teams.
- Monitor data workflows and platform performance, troubleshoot data incidents, and ensure the smooth daily operation of data systems.
- Support the performance and cost optimization of data pipelines, storage solutions, and regional data platforms.
- Assist in integrating EU-local data sources, including regional partner data, charging infrastructure data, telematics information, and local market datasets.
- Work closely with data analysts, business teams, and IT colleagues to continuously improve data accessibility, usability, and operational value.
- Support additional data engineering projects and tasks assigned by the department., * Direct exposure to European data projects, telematics, and cross-market data integration.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or a related technical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Practical experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, data lakes, or similar data platform architectures.
- Experience integrating and processing data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Basic understanding of data governance, data quality management, and GDPR principles; previous EU data experience is a plus.
- Exposure to IoT, vehicle telematics, partner data, or other high-volume external data sources is considered an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve data workflow or data quality issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Native-level Spanish and fluent business English are required; Catalan and Chinese are a plus.
- Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and grow within a regional data engineering role.
