Job description
We are looking for a "Data Architect - Governance as Code" to support a strategic initiative within our client in the pharmaceutival environment, focused on implementing modern data governance practices in a global environment. In this role, you will bring hands-on expertise in Governance as Code, contributing to the design and implementation of scalable, automated, and standardized data governance frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable robust data architecture aligned with emerging industry standards. This is a short-term project (approx. 3 months) with an ASAP start, based in Barcelona (Meridian) or remote. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design and implement Governance as Code frameworks for data management and control.
- Define and operationalize Data Contracts using Open Data Contract standards.
- Develop and manage semantic layers to ensure consistent data interpretation across systems.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data governance using GitHub automations.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align governance practices with business needs.
- Ensure scalability, traceability, and compliance of data governance processes.
- Contribute to the definition of best practices and standards for modern data architecture.
- Support integration of governance frameworks within existing data platforms.
Requirements

Proven experience working with Data Contracts (Open Data Contract Standard).

Solid understanding and implementation of semantic data layers.

Experience with GitHub automations and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong background in data architecture and data governance frameworks.

Ability to work in cross-functional and international environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with Snowflake.

Previous experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments.
