Job description

  • You will develop and operate complex web applications that form the end-to-end marketing portfolio for sponsored display ads: campaign management and delivery on otto.de
  • You will work with other teams and departments in a complex and diverse e-commerce environment.
  • You will deploy, operate and monitor your applications in the AWS cloud using continuous integration.
  • Agile software development with elements from Kanban, Scrum, code review using pull requests and regular retrospectives are also part of the job. Must-have

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in backend development with Kotlin and experience with Spring Boot

  • Extensive experience in cloud computing, preferably with AWS, as well as in the application of Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK or Terraform.

  • Appreciation for clean code principles, good architecture and good code quality

  • Agile mindset and openness to agile methods such as continuous integration and shared responsibility for the code

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies

  • Openness, responsibility and courage, as well as a social mindset

  • Ability to discuss and argue

  • Language level: English B2 (independent use of language) Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in DevOps setup (Docker, GitHub Actions)

  • Experience in front-end development with frameworks such as Angular, ReactJS or VueJS

  • Relational databases such as SQL
