Job description

In this role you will join Teradata's French delivery team and work directly on-site at our clients' premises to help them get the most out of their Teradata platform. Your missions will include:

  • Designing and architecting data solutions tailored to client needs, from requirements gathering through to implementation.
  • Developing and optimizing SQL-based data pipelines and ETL processes on Teradata environments.
  • Troubleshooting and tuning performance on large-scale data warehousing systems.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on best practices and helping them adopt new capabilities.

Success in this role looks like delivering high-quality, on-time solutions that measurably improve our clients' data capabilities - and building the kind of trusted relationships that make Teradata their partner of choice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data engineering or data warehousing, with strong hands-on SQL skills.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
  • Client-facing experience with a genuine service mindset and a solution-oriented, proactive approach.
  • Strong team player, comfortable working within a large, collaborative delivery organization.
  • Professional proficiency in English (internal communications and documentation).

What You'll Bring

  • Familiarity with open table formats such as Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in a data context.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Git and Jenkins.
  • Exposure to data integration or orchestration tools (Fivetran, Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes, or similar).
  • A natural curiosity for AI - hands-on experience with GenAI tools (LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or agentic workflows) is a strong plus.
