- Gain insights into development trends in the optical communications field and build continuous competitiveness in silicon photonics technology for short-reach optical interconnects and coherent optical communications.
- Lead new concept studies and product development projects from the R&D stage through new product introduction.
- Guide the definition of complex silicon photonics chip architectures and deliver best-in-class performance for active and passive components.
- Lead optoelectronic co-design activities for modulators, detectors, drivers, and transimpedance amplifiers.
- Lead the optimisation of overall optoelectronic systems using 2.5D and 3D advanced packaging to ensure high-speed signal integrity.
- Work as part of a team of photonics engineers and product designers dedicated to developing a silicon photonics device and product portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with solution, process, and packaging teams to ensure successful implementation of the architecture and key technologies., As the organisation continues to expand, the development tool landscape is being strengthened to support quality, compliance, and scalability across global engineering teams. A Requirements Management Support Engineer is required to support this initiative., * Maintain requirements management tools such as Polarion, 3DEXPERIENCE, Jama, R4J, or similar systems within the existing infrastructure.
- Understand business requirements for requirements management tools and determine which solution is most appropriate for each use case.
- Design and develop customised solutions for traceability, implementation status, and test status reporting in line with business requirements.
- Provide proactive advice and support to engineering teams on the use of requirements management tools.
- Coach users on requirements management best practices.
- Support the creation and use of reports in accordance with best practices, tool performance requirements, and Automotive SPICE compliance.
- Deliver online training to engineering staff on tool configuration and usage.
- Define and drive the end-to-end tool architecture to ensure optimal performance.
- Act as the governance point for requirements management tools and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Evaluate technologies and solutions that support continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary technical contact for tool vendors.
- Integrate requirements management tools with the wider development toolchain to support DevOps practices and improve data flow.

Further, lead the optimization of the overall optoelectronic systems using 2.5D/3D advanced packaging to ensure high-speed signal integrity Work as part of a team of photonic engineers and product designers dedicated to develop Huawei's silicon photonics device and product portfolio Work closely with solution, process, and packaging teams to ensure the implementation of the architecture and key technologies Requirements & Qualifications: In depth knowledge of integrated optics and optoelectronics components Education requirements: Prefer Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field, and 5+ years of work experience in the photonics industry Experience requirements: Design and test of silicon photonics with successful product development experience (spec. definition, yield improvement strategies, customer-oriented attitude, business acumen for new business opportunities) Working knowledge of how to integrate PICs with EICs, RF ICs, and driving circuitry in transceiver modules or equivalent sub-system applications Deep understanding of silicon photonics technology trends and the ability to identify key directions in silicon photonics technology Experience in high-density optoelectronic integration with 2.5D/3D advanced packaging and co-design of optoelectronic chips is preferred Proven track record of project/product management skills, bringing new components or systems to market in volume production Experience in effective communication with stakeholders to secure internal funding for new R&D projects as well as market/business landscape analysis Hands on experience with photonics modelling tools (e.g. Photon design, Lumerical) Experience with Luceda Ipkiss, Python, VPI software etc. would be an advantage Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken) Attitude: Strong team player Excellent written and oral communication skills Creativity in problem-solving Customer centric Proactive, * In-depth knowledge of integrated optics and optoelectronic components.
- Deep understanding of silicon photonics technology trends and the ability to identify key technology directions.
- Working knowledge of integrating photonic integrated circuits with electronic integrated circuits, RF integrated circuits, and driver circuitry in transceiver modules or equivalent subsystem applications.
- Hands-on experience with photonics modelling tools such as Photon Design and Lumerical.
- Experience with Luceda IPKISS, Python, VPI software, or similar tools would be advantageous.
Education
- Ph.D. preferred in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- At least five years of professional experience in the photonics industry.
Professional Experience
- Experience in the design and testing of silicon photonics, with a successful track record in product development.
- Experience defining product specifications, developing yield-improvement strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting commercially focused product decisions.
- Experience in high-density optoelectronic integration using 2.5D or 3D advanced packaging.
- Experience in the co-design of optoelectronic chips is preferred.
- Proven project and product management experience, including bringing new components or systems into volume production.
- Experience communicating effectively with stakeholders to secure internal funding for new R&D projects.
- Experience conducting market and business landscape analysis.

Requirements Maintain the requirements management tools in use (Polarion, 3DS, Jama, R4J) or other requirements management system on the existing infrastructure. Understand business requirements for the usage of the requirements management tools in use, and be the referee regarding which tool fits better each use-case. Design and develop custom-made solutions for traceability, implementation & test status reports in the requirements management tools in use, with respect to the business requirements from this category of tools. Proactively advice & support the Renesas Engineers with usage of the requirements management tools and provide coaching regarding the best practices for requirements management. Coach the reports creation and usage of the tools according best practices, tool performance and aSPICE compliance. Offer online training for Engineering staff regarding the configuration & usage of the tools in target. Understand & drive end-to-end architecture for optimal performance of the tools. Be the gatekeeper for the requirements management tools with respect to corporate compliance to standard. Explore technologies/solutions for continuous improvements; prime technical Interface for the vendor communication. Integrate the requirements management tools with the rest of the development tools in order to implement the best DevOps practices and facilitate the data flow.
