Job description

  • Develop, maintain and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views and reporting solutions.
  • Enhance and support Microsoft Access applications and VBA functionality.
  • Investigate and resolve database, application and data-related issues.
  • Design and implement improvements to database performance, reliability and efficiency.
  • Work directly with users to understand business requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
  • Support business-critical applications and resolve technical issues when required.
  • Contribute to system upgrades, integrations and ongoing technology improvement projects.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and share knowledge within the team.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience developing Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Experience writing and optimising complex SQL queries, stored procedures and views.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and VBA development.
  • Experience with C# development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting business applications in a commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
  • Advantageous: experience with document management or electronic signature platforms such as Adobe eSign.
  • Advantageous: knowledge of system integration or process automation.
  • Advantageous: experience working within a small IT team where flexibility and collaboration are important.
