Pre-Press Team Leader

• Support and guide the studio team, helping to manage workloads and achieve deadlines.
• Maintain studio quality standards and provide technical support where required.
• Assist with workflow planning and job prioritisation across the department.
• Prepare and process customer artwork for digital and flexographic label production.
• Carry out pre-flight checks and ensure artwork is suitable for print.
• Amend artwork in line with customer requirements and brand guidelines.
• Create print-ready files, proofs and production specifications.
• Apply trapping, bleed, distortion and step-and-repeat layouts as required.
• Prepare files for digital print and plate-making workflows.
• Ensure colour accuracy and consistency across all projects.
• Maintain accurate artwork records and version control.
• Act as a key contact for artwork-related queries from customers and internal teams.
• Work closely with production to resolve technical issues and improve efficiencies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all work is delivered accurately and on schedule.

• Previous experience within a studio, artwork, reprographics or pre-press environment.
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising a small team.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Good understanding of commercial print production processes.
