The ideal candidate is a Senior Platform Engineer who combines strong stakeholder management, excellent communication, professional maturity throughout the interview process, deep application modernization experience, practical Java/Python development capability, strong AI engineering skills, solid DB2/SQL knowledge, Ansible, Jenkins or multi-CI/CD pipeline experience, enterprise platform awareness, and proven ability to contribute to development work across multiple platforms while driving remediation and modernization programs to closure. Prior lead experience in one or more platform upgrade programs is a strong plus.
The candidate should bring strong experience in application modernization, AI-enabled engineering practices, hands-on development across multiple platforms, vulnerability remediation, technology currency, compliance closure, operational risk reduction, and issue resolution across critical applications and infrastructure.
The role coordinates across real delivery groups, including software development, platform engineering, server/infrastructure support, database administration, middleware support, cyber security/control partners, governance and risk teams, external vendors, QA/testing, production support, and senior management, to convert remediation issues into accountable plans with owners, timelines, dependencies, evidence, and closure governance.
Application Stack:
Strong working knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Python, Flask, FastAPI, Django, enterprise architecture, microservices,
application modernization, cloud-ready design patterns, Java applet modernization, AI-assisted software engineering practices, and Web
UI technology using React.
Database and Platform:
Practical knowledge of DB2, SQL Server, SQL tuning, Linux/Unix, Apache, Tomcat, Ansible, Jenkins, multiple CI/CD pipeline models,
monitoring, logging, post-release validation, and platform upgrade execution.
