Job description

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, SQL, Airflow, AWS Glue and Redshift.
  • Develop batch and near real-time data solutions to support operational and analytical needs.
  • Optimise data performance, reliability and cost efficiency across the platform.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting and operational support processes.
  • Champion engineering best practice, code quality, automation and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Analytics and Platform teams to deliver data solutions.
  • Support data governance, security and compliance requirements.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimise scalable data solutions across our AWS data platform. Working with Redshift, Python, Airflow and AWS services, you'll develop reliable data pipelines, support real-time data processing, and enable high-quality analytics and business insights, * Strong experience with AWS data services (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda).

  • Advanced SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience designing and supporting data pipelines and ETL frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Airflow, Spark and modern data engineering practices.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing and performance optimisation.
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD and Agile delivery methods.

Desirable

  • Experience in a regulated environment.
  • Lottery, gaming or financial services experience.
