Job description
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Power Platform Developer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in either London, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham or Newcastle, Our client is seeking a Mid-Senior Power Platform Developer to own, maintain and enhance their Microsoft Power Platform estate supporting a key Investment Programme platform. This role combines hands-on development with technical ownership across the full application lifecycle, including Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Platform solutions, Azure integrations and CI/CD pipelines. You will play a key role in ensuring applications are secure, scalable, well-governed and successfully deployed across multiple environments., * Design, develop and maintain Power Platform solutions including Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate flows and Dataverse components.
- Develop and support C# plugins, Custom APIs, workflow activities and JavaScript or TypeScript web resources.
- Manage source-controlled solutions, repositories and application lifecycle activities, ensuring adherence to development standards and governance processes.
- Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps pipelines, troubleshooting deployment issues and driving automation improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, testers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure and maintainable solutions while contributing to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and Dataverse.
- Strong technical skills across Power Automate, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse security, managed solutions, environment variables and connection references.
- Experience developing with C#/.NET, including Dataverse plugins, Custom APIs and workflow activities.
- Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and application lifecycle management (ALM) practices.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, API integrations, authentication, service principals and secure application development.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose deployment, integration and application issues.
- Desirable experience with Power Pages, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, API Management, Key Vault and Application Insights.
