Job description

As a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in MBSE, you will lead efforts to optimize engineering models, enhance system integration, and enable data-driven decisions-all with a focus on precision and impactful stakeholder engagement.

What You'll Do:

  • Support and advance model-based systems engineering practices, including requirements management, interface definition, trade studies, and interdisciplinary analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity, consistency, and usability of engineering models across teams.
  • Develop visualizations and reporting tools to communicate complex data effectively.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, from business leaders to subject matter experts, ensuring alignment and clarity.
  • Develop and implement verification strategies to ensure accuracy, traceability, and reliability of engineering data.
  • Support the organisation's SQL database, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Monitor and improve model performance through metrics analysis and continuous refinement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Expertise managing and maintaining complex engineering models
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and visualization skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • Experience developing verification and validation strategies within engineering contexts

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw, No Magic, or Enterprise Architect
  • Knowledge of system integration and interface definition frameworks
  • Experience working within high-security or defence-related environments
  • Advanced certifications related to systems engineering or data management

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a systems engineering role, with a focus on MBSE or related disciplines

Other Requirements:

  • Security Clearance at DV level - active
  • Ability to work onsite full-time, with flexible options like a 4-day week or 9-day fortnight
  • 37-hour workweek, with a 4-week notice period for transition
