Job description

Job Summary: The Information Systems Supervisor's primary responsibility is the strategic leadership of the organization's Information Technology team under the direction of the Information Systems Director. Corresponding responsibilities include developing and leading Information Technology initiatives, overseeing the administration of existing technology infrastructure, and leading a team in line with organizational goals., Information Technology Management

Goal: To plan, implement, and support IT initiatives for the organization

  • Develop innovative technology strategies aligned with the organization's goals
  • Maintain existing Information Technology infrastructure and operations
  • Oversee the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure information systems
  • Optimize and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services
  • Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and partners and negotiate contracts
  • Manage IT expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility and resource optimization

Leadership

Goal: Lead, mentor, develop, and motivate a high-performing team

  • Provide visionary leadership to the department
  • Align team and departmental goals with the organization's goals
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Perform supervisory duties including approving timecards, reimbursements, and PTO requests

Miscellaneous

  • Attend staff meetings and quarterly trainings
  • Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending seminars, benchmarking, and reviewing professional publications/sites
  • Take initiative; demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skills
  • Initiate best practices; develop efficiency improvements
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Net+, PMP, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in an enterprise IT leadership role, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Advanced computer literacy including Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, computer architecture, computer network communications, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance, and emerging technologies; comfort operating within a CLI

General

  • Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • A flexible work schedule including some schedule changes, some weekends, and evening shifts to meet the department's needs
  • Detail-oriented and computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently to deliver quality work within deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift, bend, squat, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
