Job description
The ENSD Technician is responsible for deploying backbone network infrastructure by installing network hardware and fiber optic cabling, executing engineering designs, and supporting network provisioning and troubleshooting., Read and interpret engineering and design packages to execute network deployment projects.
Review bills of materials (BOMs) to verify all required equipment and materials are available prior to installation.
Assemble, install, and secure network hardware according to company standards.
Install, route, and patch pre-terminated fiber optic cabling.
Label network hardware, cabling, and connections accurately.
Assist network engineers with provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
Capture and submit project deliverables, including photographs and installation documentation.
Provide daily project status updates to team leads and customers.
Collaborate with other technicians to complete large-scale deployments efficiently.
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and storage locations.
Support other internal teams during periods of lower project activity.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
Requirements
This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can interpret engineering documentation, follow established installation procedures, and collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, customers, and external partners.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, comfortable working in physically demanding environments, and able to travel extensively to support project deployments., Proficiency with Google Workspace applications, including Google Sheets and Google Docs.
Ability to read and follow engineering documentation and standard operating procedures.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout work areas for extended periods.
Ability to regularly carry equipment, including a 20 lb. ladder.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. multiple times throughout the workday.
Willingness to travel extensively as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial or hyperscale data center network deployments.
Experience installing fiber optic or low-voltage cabling.
Experience in network equipment installation, repair, or maintenance.
Experience in construction, electrical, telecommunications, or related technical fields.
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
