Work with an award-winning (Best Places to Work 2024/2025, UpCity National Excellence Award 2023 and 2024) information technology (IT) managed service provider (MSP) team by being responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency and performance of CCP Tech's networking, operational and management systems that are used across our customer portfolio. The position will operate in the Charleston, SC, metro area and the ability to visit client sites (3-5 days per month) when needed is required. Work will primarily be done remotely from your home office, requiring the candidate to have adequate and appropriate home office infrastructure and connectivity., * Monitor network systems, client device alerts and applications.
- Research and remediate notifications and incidents that are reported through CCP Tech network monitoring tools and help develop strategies for reducing future occurrences, which could include capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, network configuration changes to name a few.
- Proactively analyze Zero Trust logs to identify policies that may hinder application usability, then adjust as needed to reduce support tickets and reduce customer frustrations with Zero Trust.
- Research and remediate notifications and incidents that are reported through the CCP Tech portals (such as UniFi, Meraki and Immy) and determine what, if anything, could reduce the likelihood of the event occurring in the future and implement solutions to reduce future events.
- Research and remediate endpoint notifications, help identify patterns of concern and potential impending failures to ensure endpoint health.
- Research and remediate incidents related to Entra Connect Sync between on-premises domain controllers and M365.
- Serve as point person for server down critical alerts.
- Execute resiliency testing procedures across the CCP Tech customer landscape.
- Create remediation documentation and runbooks to help reduce response times.
- Perform critical updates to firewall and networking equipment.
- Provide advice and counsel to the CCP Tech stakeholders, as needed. This could include providing counsel to the CCP Tech Leadership Team, organizational members, existing customers and potential customers.
- Serve as a member of the Escalation Team in support of incident response using specialized knowledge of alerts, forensics & incident histories.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in operations engineering, system administration, or IT infrastructure roles.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls) and command line interfaces.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with users and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong customer service skills
Experience working at an IT MSP company and field experience with great customer skills a plus., * Bachelor's (Preferred), * IT Managed Service Provider: 2 years (Preferred)
- Network engineering: 2 years (Preferred)
- Cloud infrastructure: 2 years (Preferred)
- Operating systems: 5 years (Required)
- Network security: 2 years (Preferred)
